Hi, I am Pratyush Mittal 👋🏼.

I love to code! I like to play with new libraries and tools. I like to learn them, use them and mix them to create something new. Yeah, I am Geek 🤓!

I am Chartered Accountant by education. Though coding is my hobby, I enjoy accounting and investing too. I find dual-entry accounting very fascinating. Sometimes, we wear the hat of Sherlock Holmes and find answers by inspecting balance-sheets. We develop a hypothesis and validate them by looking through the accounts.

My Dad has been investing into listed companies for more than 40 years. He hand-holded my brother and me into investing. He taught us the concepts of margin of safety, valuations and the art of reading balance-sheets.

I also learnt a lot about investing by attending classes of Prof. Sanjay Bakshi. He taught us reading.

I was lucky to be at the right place at the right time. It was 2009. Internet was getting started. Most of the financial filings were becoming digital. Web-development was evolving with new technologies, languages and frameworks. I boarded that train, by luck, and it took me through a fabulous journey.

I got to make Screener.in which has become pretty popular since then. We get around 2-4 million users per week. It is among the 150 most used websites in India.

It is the playground where I get to experiment the technologies that come :).
